The studies at the Department for Mineral and Recycling Technologies are conducted within the study program of Mining Engineering accredited in 2014 at all three educational levels: Undergraduate Study Program, Master Academic Study Program and Doctoral (PhD) Studies.

Undergraduate Study Program lasts for eight (8) semesters and it incorporates two (2) modules:

– Mineral Processing
– Recycling Technologies and Sustainable Development.

Students who complete their undergraduate studies acquire the professional title BSc (Honors) Mining, module Mineral Processing or BSc (Honors) Mining, module Recycling Technologies and Sustainable Development. Students can find employment in educational, research or public institutions and in companies which are engaged in the activities in the field of mineral technology, that is, mineral processing and recycling technologies and sustainable development, in the country and abroad.

Master Academic Study Program lasts for two (2) semesters and it offers the same two modules as at the undergraduate study program: Mineral Processing and Recycling Technologies and Sustainable Development. After the completion of the Master Academic Study Program, students acquire the professional title MSc Mining, module Mineral Processing or MSc Mining, module Recycling Technologies and Sustainable Development. This degree enables the enrolment at Doctoral (PhD) Studies or employment in educational, research or public institutions and in companies which are engaged in the activities in the field of mineral technology, that is, mineral processing and recycling technologies and sustainable development, in the country and abroad.

Doctoral (PhD) Studies last for six (6) semesters and are the same for the entire Mining Engineering Study Program. Doctoral Studies are realized without modules, however, students can choose elective courses according to their affinities and interests. After defending their Doctoral (PhD) Dissertation, students acquire professional title PhD Technical Science in Mining Engineering. They can continue their work or training in research and higher education institutions in the country or abroad.
